A very busy week....
We've had a busy, emotional week. A week ago this past Tuesday, we got a call from our adoption agency saying they had a child they wanted us to consider for adoption. From what they knew, he was hospitalized at birth for pneumonia and had a heart murmur. We were thrilled that we had been called so soon and might actually get a child in 2007! His pneumonia was all cleared up and the heart murmur seemed a non-issue and we began to dream. The agency recommended that we have a physician look over the baby's records before we sign on the dotted line and, so, we did. Come to find out, with looking deeper into his more recent doctors visits, this baby did have more severe heart issues. We agonized over this for several days. After all, God had prepared our heart to receive a child. Why would we be called about a child that wasn't for us? We did not have peace about accepting the child and so we regretfully declined him. It broke our hearts to do so. God gave us peace about not taking this child. We don't understand why everything has happened the way it has this past few weeks, but we know God still has a plan and a child for us and a plan and a home for his other needy baby. We will pray that God finds the perfect home for him.

Still praying...
Lynn
Thinking of you both.
It is so hard to decline a baby. We went through it twice and it doesn't get easier. All I can say is that we've been blessed to know that at least one of the babies has been adopted and lives right here in MO! The Lord will give you a peace in your heart that surpasses your understanding. Isn't He good!!! He's making a perfect tapestry for you and as soon as all the threads are in place your new little blessing will be revealed! Praying for you as you wait....
